Raffles International School celebrates Independence Day
      
Independence Day was celebrated in Raffles International School with lot of vigor and enthusiasm. The programme started with Flag hoisting by Dr. Rajshekhar Yadav- PTA Rep. Grade IX students spoke on the importance of the day and emphasized on the importance of unity, which empowers us to take our country to pinnacle. Students presented a panorama of wonderful performances. The atmosphere was brightened up with different dances and songs, all paying their heartfelt tribute to the freedom fighters and martyrs .

The Reading Pledge
Reading is fabulous, reading is fun,
I read when it rains, I read in the sun!
I read about places I've never been,
I read about marvels I've never seen.
The mystery, the magic, the wonder of books,
The people, the plots, the twists and the hooks.
There's so much to learn, and so much in store –
And that's why I pledge – “I'll read so much MORE!”
Raffles International School, organized a book fair in collaboration with Scholastic India from 5-7 August, 2010. The Scholastic Book Fair was inaugurated by our School Principal, Mr.S. Asthana & Mr. Anil Sardana. The fair was organized for three days. Scholastic India brought 750 titles to be displayed for students of different grades. Various activities were organized for grades Pre Primary-6th. Certificates and prizes were given to the winners of various activities.

RAFFLES INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL CELEBRATES INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2010-2011

In a solemn ceremony conducted on 1st August 2010,the new prefect body was sworn in.It was a defining moment for the prefectorial team and their parents.Chairperson Justice Dr. Meena V. Gomberr was escorted in by the outgoing prefect body.

School has organised a Dental checkup camp in association with the Doctors from Kailash Hospital in School on 20 July, 2010. Students from Grade LKG to Grade 10 got their teeth checked by doctors. Doctor also explained the importance of teeth and how to make them clean.

Always Ecological

To reiterate the role of Mother Earth in the sustenance of life on it, and the damage that is being caused by human activities, an inter-house poster making competition was organized on 17th July . The students gave vent to their artistic expression on themes like Global Warming in the Senior group and Environment in the junior group. Participants propagated artistically not to pollute and perish but to conserve and cherish.
